The finger-jointed solid wood construction creates a stable, visually dynamic surface while allowing the countertop to be easily cut, drilled, shaped, or customized using standard woodworking tools.
Because it is made from solid hardwood with no MDF core or wood veneer, the countertop is also suitable for custom sink cutouts, including undermount sink applications when properly installed and sealed. Supplied unfinished, the surface gives homeowners, designers, contractors, and builders the freedom to select the stain, oil, finish, and final texture that best complements their space.

Natural variations in grain, tone, knots, and finger-jointed slats are part of the beauty of genuine hardwood and should not be considered defects. These characteristics create the warm, organic appearance that makes every KVX butcher block surface one of a kind.
The panel features a rustic B/C-grade appearance, with natural tight knots and wood characteristics that enhance its authentic hardwood character. Surface voids and selected natural imperfections are filled and sanded to provide a smooth, ready-to-finish surface.
Care & Installation
Your unfinished Acacia Butcher Block is supplied unfinished and must be properly sealed on all surfaces, edges, and cutouts before installation and use.
For best performance:
- Apply an appropriate natural wood oil, mineral oil, hardwax oil, or other manufacturer-approved wood finish to all surfaces, edges, and cutouts before installation.
- A minimum of two additional protective coats is recommended unless otherwise specified by the selected finishing product.
- Proper sealing helps protect the wood from moisture penetration, surface water damage, staining, and movement caused by changes in relative humidity.
- Any newly exposed wood created by cutting, drilling, routing, or sink cutouts should be completely resealed before installation.
- Maintain the countertop periodically according to the care instructions of the selected wood finish.
Because solid wood naturally responds to changes in moisture and relative humidity, proper acclimation and sealing are important for long-term dimensional stability.
